My wife and I were really looking forward to a long Labor Day holiday weekend with our three daughters and grandkids. It was all kind of spaced out over the entire weekend, and not all three of them were together at the same time, but it was successful nonetheless.

And those grandbabies are amazing!  With families spread out all over the country these days, we were so grateful for the chance to have them visit us this weekend.

Getting Started With The New Blog

I’ve finally set up this new blog and wanted to start jotting down thoughts, story ideas etc.

I’m currently developing a supernatural/Sci-Fi story set in the Sea of Japan. I’m trying to nail down the characters but running into a creative quandary regarding my lead characters. I’m also trying to use some software to help me plot the story and characters, such as Save The Cat and Dramatica Story Expert. I’m also experimenting with Scrivener and not really sure how Final Draft can help with story development. Just starting to look into all of these and others.

At age (almost) 63, I’m starting to do what I really thought I could’ve — and should’ve —done a long time ago but never really had the time or inclination to get started. But my recent “semi-retirement” (still pursuing the freelance Voice Actor life) has afforded me the opportunity to explore this next creative phase in my life.

So, here goes!
